“Because it’s not that hard,” Katsuki says, standing up and wiping some sweat off his brow. “Calories in, calories out. Just burn more than you eat, and you’ll lose weight.” The way he flexes his biceps and flares his lats says the rest: If I can do it, why can’t they?
“Kacchan, people have different needs and bodies,” Izuku says. “Do you really think it’s okay to talk shit just because fat people don’t make the same choices as you? Sometimes, they don’t even have the privilege to. Hell, maybe they don’t even want to."
Katsuki stares at his own reflection in the mirror. “They’re all lazy.”
Izuku has no idea which neurons misfired for him to blurt this out, but he seals Katsuki’s fate the moment he speaks: “Wanna make a bet? If it’s so easy, gain 100 pounds and lose it.”
