Summary
San’s stomach dropped. "I—I paid everything! His debt is cleared! Please, I have nothing to do with him anymore!"
A hand gripped his chin tighter, tugging it to be still.
"I don’t give a shit!" the voice spat. "Your dear Jeongseok took a loan from me. And guess what? He never paid me back. Months, Choi San. Months. And you?" A cold chuckle. "He said you were collateral. So now, you belong to me."
San's breath came in sharp, panicked gasps. "No, no! Please! I don’t belong to anyone! Please let me go!" His voice cracked, his pleas turning into desperate sobs.
A hand gripped his chin again, forcing him still. The voice was closer now, breath brushing his lips. "I said you’re mine now. behave, and you’ll be fine."

Summary
Yunho hesitated before looking back at Mingi, letting out a soft sigh. “I think I’ve been so worried about him, that I didn’t let myself hope for more. I was scared to think about friendships and playdates and other kids being nice to him, because what if they weren’t? What if it never happened?”

Summary
The loud sounds around him were overwhelming, a chaotic symphony of distant sirens and urgent voices. Sitting on the edge of the ambulance, San felt a flicker of unease. The bustling world behind him was a stark contrast to the suffocating silence of the basement he had been trapped in for so long.
But amidst the noise, he felt something he hadn’t in ages—safety. The gentle breeze brushed against his face, cool and soothing, carrying with it the scent of freedom. It was surreal, almost dreamlike. His trembling hands reached out instinctively, as if to grasp the intangible air, to remind himself that this wasn’t another cruel hallucination.
The blanket draped over his bare shoulders swayed softly with the wind, a modest shield against the vulnerability of his exposed state. San closed his eyes, inhaling deeply. The world felt vast, alive, and so achingly familiar yet foreign.
He exhaled slowly, grounding himself. I’m okay now. I’m safe. The thought repeated like a mantra, his heartbeat gradually steadying with every breath.
