Luca watched the back of Alberto’s half- illuminated golden mass of curls. He took a few steps back. He knows it was his fault. He has no right to argue with him. “Okay.” It escaped his lips. “I'll go.”
Hesitating, Luca began to walk to the wall of the tower to lower himself down. But as his eyes looked up to meet the horizon of the night, he was met with the town of Potorosso in the far distance. The unmistakable colours of the various houses only sweetened that Italian air, that the glowing yellow lamps provided. He saw him and Alberto eating ice cream, Him and Alberto devouring their trenette at Massimo’s house, Him and Alberto sleeping side by side in Guilia’s hideout. Him, Alberto and Guilia training for the Potorosso Cup. Then Him and Guilia staring in horror at the sea monster Infront of them at the shore.
I rewrote the tower scene from Luca, not because it was bad but because it was beautiful, and I wanted to make something similar but this time, Luca stays and they attempt to talk it out.
