Listen. Jake really did like going out with Jay and Sunghoon. He was very happy that he debuted in a group with people who were all around his age, and that he had not one but two members who were his age. He was really very lucky to have two best friends in their group that really did feel like a family.
But he also knew that Sunghoon and Jay were… special to each other in a way that neither of them ever seemed to want to address ever in the five years he had known them.
Much to his dismay and frustration.

Sunghoon was, generally, a pretty chill guy.
He supposed it was a natural thing for him. He was chill because he could be. Had to be. He served as a good anchor for the team, levelling the energy of the group well. Sure, he could joke and mess around, and it wasn’t like he was emotionless or anything, but ultimately he was a pretty chill, relaxed, go with the flow kind of guy.
Except when it came to Jay, of course.
He was anything but chill when it came to Jay.
