Minerva McGonagall had appointed Hermione as a prefect and given her a room of her own, allowing her a sense of freedom now that she was considered an adult.
“You wanted to see me, Professor McGonagall?” Hermione asked as she walked into the principal’s office.
“Please, call me Minerva,” she said with a warm smile.
“Minerva,” Hermione corrected, smiling back. They were friends now.
