Summary
It starts at a gaming table, but grows into so much more. Trust, friendship, sanctuary. And eventually, love.
An alternative universe story about Rumi, Mira, and Zoey, each struggling with their own problems, finding their anchor from each other. Themes of loneliness and not belonging are heavily present.
This is a slowburn story with strong slice of life elements, building towards a polytrix relationship.
The events of the game table play a part in the story, but the main focus is on the growing relationship between our three heroes.

Summary
The room was hot. Mira stirred, half-asleep, wondering why the air conditioning wasn't working. The Bellagio had central air. It was always perfect. Why was it so hot?
Something was pressed against her back. Someone. An arm around her waist. Mira's eyes opened.
Wrong ceiling. Wrong room. The walls were beige and water-stained, not the crisp white of her hotel suite.
Her head throbbed. The kind of headache that only came when you'd had too much to drink. The arm around her waist was warm.
An arm around her waist?
Mira looked down. Bare skin. Her bare skin. She was naked. A sinking feeling hit her stomach.
What happened?
Chaebol daughter Kang Mira has never made a choice in her life. K-pop idol Ryu Rumi is rebuilding after a scandal. Cho Zoey works three jobs while her parents call music a hobby.
One Vegas night. One bar. One 4 AM Elvis wedding.
Now they're legally married. Annulment means public record. Divorce takes months. And Kang Mira needs to figure out what the hell she's going to do about it. Even if it's the last thing she does.

“You have an idea.”
Rumi still wouldn’t meet her gaze, but after a moment, she nodded.
“I do.”
Her voice sounded strained, and it only made Mira more suspicious.
She raised an eyebrow. “Care to share with the class then?”
Rumi hesitated, opening and closing her mouth a few times, before sighing in defeat. She looked at Mira sideways, expression still wary.
“I-okay. But it’s…weird. And I mean, like, really weird.”
Mira wasn’t sure what Rumi was so worried about. Their entire lives were weird. They were literally Kpop idols who fought demons. Whatever weird idea Rumi had cooked up, Mira was sure she could handle it.
Mira put her hand on top of Rumi’s, gently squeezing it in comfort. “Rumi, If you think it can get us out of here, it doesn’t matter what it is.”
Rumi flicked her eyes back at Mira anxiously, clearly still unsure, but nodded, the words rushing out of her mouth.
“I could swallow her.”

The girls keep ending up in situations where getting eaten by Rumi is the best solution. As time goes on, the excuses get flimsier. Eventually, they stop needing excuses.
