A found family Sun/Moon & Child Reader fic. This fic is mainly DCA oriented, but there might be some MIMIC lore sprinkled in every now and then.

Even in the dead of night, the Pizzaplex is never truly asleep.
Empty hallways creak when you look down them for too long, the shadows bleeding in and out of the corners the flickering fluresant lights can't quite reach. The broken air conditioners screech and buzz above you while you close up for the night, making sure everyone is where they're supposed to be.
Everyone. Everything
Neither really feels right. Sure, there are some people-online loonies mostly- who think there's something human about the animatronics here. No one can deny how alive they feel when you speak or interact with them. But not many people can look them in the eyes and honestly say there's nothing uncanny about it. They're not human, and its scary when you forget the fact.

Reader's the beloved mechanic who seems to be the only underpaid, sketchy worker who actually cares about the animatronics, even if they don't really care as much about themselves. In turn, the animatronics can get a little bit... protective at night. it should be fine.Bookmarked by Kirito543
