His eyes narrowing, he takes a step closer to you, filling the space between your legs that hang over the edge. "You don't need to know them," he whispers, a hollow air in his voice. His other hand cups your face, his thumb caressing your cheek. "They've only known fragments of you. But I..." he pauses, exhaling shakily, "I've loved every version." Silence settles in the air before, almost too quietly for you to hear, he says, "So this time, it should only be us."

Xavier is stubbornly quiet, so finally, you turn your head, chancing a look at him.
Mistake, you immediately realize.
His knees are still bent, feet planted firmly in the grass, but he’s leaned back on the log, arms crossed tightly over his lower stomach and neck craned, head resting on the tough bark and face turned to the sky. And he’s flushed. You’ve never seen him so red, a crimson stain from his collar to his cheeks all the way to the tips of his ears. His eyes are closed but his mouth is open, panting hot breaths into the air, almost-invisible puffs billowing from his lips and dissipating in the cool breeze.
In which Xavier and MC get trapped in a No-Hunt Zone and inhale some flower pollen that makes them fuck like rabbits :)
