The blood had long stained his hands and seeped into the floor below him. The blood trickled through his fingers. Steady, and unstoppable. He knew it was only a matter of time before he finally slipped up and died. Always chasing murderers and thieves; it was about time, honestly. Though he didn’t think he would die alone. Alone in a dark basement. His final moments are spent with Time, Death, and himself. Poetic really.

He hesitantly took Ventus’s hand. Watching as his brother's smile broke into a grin. A grin so bright that the anxiety in his chest eased slightly.
Maybe he didn't deserve this, Vanitas thought as Ventus pulled him up and wrapped an arm around his waist supporting him.
But it was nice to dream.

Summary
“The last thing I need right now is company.”
“Oh.” Green eyes go wider, staring at him, and he goes silent for a long moment. Then he bites his lip, looking outside again. “Well, that - that sucks, um - fuck - “ He closes his eyes, pressing a hand to his forehead as he starts muttering to himself again. “Fuck, what do you do Hizashi - risk the rutting alpha, or risk getting eaten alive…? Not very good choices here…”
Risk getting eaten alive? Shouta frowns, some of his irritation waning, and he glances outside. Why had this mer - Hizashi, apparently - decided to take refuge in his cave? It’s leagues from any colonies, and the only things around are rocks and sand and more of the same. He’d said he wanted to stay “until it was safe”...
Just as he’s thinking that over, he sees a shadow through the dim light of the semi-depths, large and moving quickly. His eyes narrow at it, trying to make it out, but then he’s quickly moving forward to start moving the rocks back in place himself once he makes it out.
A giant squid.
Or
Shouta gets an unexpected visitor, Hizashi finds some refuge. They both find company that they didn't realize they wanted.

Summary
He wants what he’s seen from a distance, that companionship that the happy pairs in other shoals seem to have, or the ones he’s occasionally seen when he and Shouta make trips to the colony. It looks - nice. It looks like something he wants, that closeness that comes from the bond.
The days pass with him trying to figure out how to tell him, how to ask, and in that time the only indication of his feelings is the unintentional fanning of his fins whenever Shouta’s around. The deep-sea mer doesn’t seem to notice - or maybe he does, but Hizashi has to remind himself that he likely just doesn’t know what fanning means.
Then the ocean decides to help things along, likely tired of him swimming in circles, by sending him something he hasn’t had in months.
His first heat since swimming away from the reef finally hits.
Or
Hizashi's heat finally hits, and feelings come out into the open for the both of them.

Summary
Of course it was Midoriya Izuku. If there had to be at least one sleepwalker in class 1-A, it just had to be Aizawa Shota’s honorary Problem Child. With a heavy sigh that turned into a tear inducing and jaw cracking yawn, Shota moved to his back and held the tablet over his face. Curiously, he watched Midoriya lazily rifling through the drawers, leaving them open as he went, until he stopped at the fifth one and stared inside. Shota wonders for a moment if the boy had woken himself up - suddenly stiff and doe eyed - until he watches him very slowly, with a shaky hand pick up a long knife glinting in the fluorescent light.
