His head was throbbing, and for the first time in years, Logan craved a drink, wanted that sweet sweet mind-numbing escape that came with alcohol.
“You look at me like you want me,” Wade said.
Had it really been that obvious?
“Why won’t you just give in?”
Logan asked himself that sometimes, not in this particular context, more in the sense of why he held onto certain things even though they caused him immense suffering and pushed the ones he loved away. Inherent character flaw at the DNA level, he supposed. Even after two hundred and thirty plus years, he couldn’t shake the curse.
But this was different. This was principle. The bottom line.

“When’s your shift over?” His voice is a tenor, rumbling through his chest, spoken above a whisper only insomuch that it’s the sexy lick of a baseline right in Wade’s ear. “I’ve got nowhere to be.”
Wade grins wolfishly, hopes it reads through his mask and pretends like he’s reaching for something just to brush their pinkies together. “You must think I’m so easy, to just go home with any hot stranger who’s a little nice to me.”
The man squints, and their faces are close now, and Wade can almost taste the whiskey on his breath through his mask. Some sort of decision is being made behind dazzling hazel eyes, and the man pulls the corner of his mouth up just a fraction to say, “I think you’re easy enough to have a go in the bathroom on your break.”
Wade giggles, low and embarrassed, and he has to shove back up off the bar to standing in order to break himself out of the magnetism of the man's flirtatious goading.
“Says just as much ‘bout you as it does about me,” Wade says. “You try to give all your bartenders the glory hole special?”
“No,” he replies with a shrug, and he leans back too, but it doesn’t break the tension, only stretches it thinner and thinner until it might snap. “Just you.”

He wasn’t in love with the guy. Some wires had gotten crossed, is all. Adrenaline, fear, elation, anger, pain… all of it had coalesced into a miasma of emotions that swirled around in his chest in the aftermath of destroying the time-ripper and had latched on to the only other solid thing around. That thing just happened to be Wade Wilson.
He’d been in enough fucked up situations to know that near death experiences tended to mess with the brain for a bit. They made people do reckless shit like confess their secrets, fuck people they shouldn’t, even declare their sudden and undying love.
It was chemical and it was psychological. It wasn’t real.
The feeling would pass.
He just needed some time.

Logan realizes he might've made a terrible mistake agreeing to go home with the guy he's maybe sorta kinda fallen in love with. Especially since said guy literally just saved the entire multiverse to get back together with his girl.Didn't he?
