From the corner of his eye, the man less than subtly sized him up. A slow up and down that Rain felt sliding over every inch of his body. Being eyed up close and personal was far more intense than before. Heavy. No longer just studying.
“Suppose I can spare one.” He took the box from his pocket and flipped open the top, holding it tipped in his direction. Rain plucked a cigarette from the box, noting that the man’s attention lingered a beat too long on his hands. “Played a mean bass up there by the way.”
