Jacobi hadn’t bothered reading the communication officer’s file (it had seemed the least important one at the time) and so the man in the suit should have been completely unknown and unrecognisable to him, especially with his face in that state. Unfortunately the universe had it out for him, because almost inhuman or not, Jacobi had spent too much of his youth staring at that face for him not to recognise it immediately.
“Oh, fuck,” Jacobi breathed, because there he was, eight lightyears away from earth and staring down at the battered face of his high school boyfriend.

Summary
There’s blood on the ice.
It’s not a surprise, really, considering how hard he’s just been checked from behind into the boards, but his entire body hurts so badly at the moment that he can’t quite discern exactly where the blood is even coming from. That is, until a second later, when the taste of copper invades his mouth.
Draco gets painfully to his skates and heads to the bench as number 7 gets a penalty for boarding and skates off towards the penalty box, looking entirely unapologetic.
He takes a seat next to Blaise, who cringes in sympathy and hands him his water bottle. “You okay?”
Draco rinses his mouth out, spits a watery red mess onto the ground. He runs his tongue carefully over each one of his teeth, making sure they’re all still intact and accounted for.
“Harry Potter’s a fucking tosser,” he replies, and turns narrowed eyes back to the game.
