He didn't mean to look at him again, but he did. Just a glance. Just long enough to catch the way Minho smiled to himself while adjusting the focus on his phone. Like this was all some twisted kind of art. Like the building was a friend with secrets, and Minho was coaxing them out, one room at a time.
That was the thing, Minho didn't just tolerate this stuff. He thrived in it. No hesitation. No nerves. Just ease. Curiosity. A low, dangerous sort of comfort.
And if Jisung had decided, a few weeks back, to fake an interest in abandoned buildings and haunted hospitals... well. That was his business.

"Aren't you going to ask me?" Her tone was irritated, bordering on frustration.
"Do you want me to ask?" Seungmin replied, seemingly unbothered as he took some distance.
"Aren't you curious?"
To her satisfaction she saw Seungmin purse his lips and his eyes hesitated for a second as he looked away. But it was barely an instant.
"No.
"No? What do you mean no?"
"What should I be curious about?" Seungmin said, still speaking in a dry tone, but Minho was able to hear the pain and frustration that he was trying to hide. "Why are you doing it? Since when? Why him? Is that what you want me to ask?"

“I just—I’m really happy,” Jisung says, brushing Minho’s bangs aside and making butterflies flutter in his stomach. “And I wanna make you happy, too.”
There’s a lump in Minho’s throat all of a sudden, one of a vague unease he can’t quite place. “Stop being cheesy,” he mumbles around it, laying his head back on Jisung’s chest. “I’m happy,” he adds, and he means it, appreciates Jisung’s care even if part of him inexplicably wishes Jisung wouldn’t be so goddamn sweet and kind to him.
He just isn’t quite sure what to do with himself.
(alternatively: Minho struggles with the startling realization of how hard and fast he's fallen for Jisung while past relationship trauma slowly claws its way to the surface, and his fear and doubts continue to fester until they're impossible to ignore—until he just might ruin the best thing that's ever happened to him.)
