Summary
“You are not taking good enough care of yourself,” Caitlyn starts, looking towards the fountain. She’s lost weight and her cheeks are hollowed, the knuckles of her hand too pronounced into Vi’s grasp. “I need you now, more than ever, Violet.”
“You have me,” Vi says, as a matter of fact. As if she has anyone else to live for, to give her loyalty to. “In any way you’d want me.”

Summary
Powder waved her arms in the air, disbelief all over her wide-eyed face. “You’ve known her for over half a year, you’ve been dating for three months of that and you’ve clearly been in love with her this whole time! Like very obviously, super gross, stupid in love! And you haven’t fucking said it?!”

One month after ‘Everything that’s Wonderful’, the girls are getting into the swing of being in a relationship when work schedules aren’t being so cooperative.
Despite things going well, Vi still feels self conscious about her inexperience compared to Caitlyn’s. To help with her nerves, Caitlyn suggests she’ll just give instructions, and they learn a couple new things about each other.

Summary
Vi licked her lips, fingers tracing the lower strap to readjust it. “Does it bother you?”
Caitlyn huffed an ironic laugh. “More than I want to admit.”
Vi’s hands on her jaw kept her warm. Her thumb traced lines up and down Caitlyn’s sharp cheekbone, soothing her. “You’ll make it work.” Vi reassured softly. “You always do.”
Caitlyn didn’t want to think about it. She hadn’t tried to look through a scope since. In her regular life, she started bumping with furniture and squinting at distant objects. Before, she could tell exactly how many paces away a person was, no matter the distance. Now the breeze billowing the curtains made her flinch.
“Can I see?”
Or: In the aftermath, they take care of each other.
