(This is a story I was half-planning when watching the 2012 series, but was having issues getting around it with Splinter being the parent. Then I watched the space arc and knew exactly what I had to do. Suddenly it was perfect.
I go into depths of Donatello as a character and explore his amazing brain and personality, plus give him a bit of free therapy.)

What if the only turtle that April's fake mom consumed was mikey after he tried to prove himself to not be insane like his family called him?
And what if the others never got taken next.
...what if, one psychotic mom/monster kept her dark secret hidden deep within...literally.
What if Mikey was gone?
Can they figure it out and save him? Will he survive? Will he die?
Through twists and turns and a crap ton of suspense,
your just going to have to read and find out <3

"What in the..." Leo's crouched position allowed him to take a look at his shell, and he covered his mouth in shock. "Your shell..."
"It's not as bad as it looks," Leo grunted, his expression telling otherwise.
"Liar," Raph said in a sing-song voice- holding tighter onto Mikey and Donnie when he spotted his shell. "...Ah, damn. Your shells look like those Picasso paintings."
"As if your shell is very pretty at the moment." Donnie huffed. And cringed at the sight of Mikey's eyes. "Dude."
"Mhhfff." If he said something, it was muffled by Raph's shoulder.
"Hey- uhm. Turtle dudes?" The four glanced up when they heard one of the humans who helped Splinter speak, awkwardly rubbing the back of their neck. "You need a hospital- a vet? Those injuries can't be good."
