Viktor knew it was time for a divorce that night. The writing had been on the wall for years, he just didn't want to see it. Jayce would later say he was blindsided by the divorce papers, but honestly, it had been inevitable. At least, that's what their families told them. Never last, they'd said.
Well, they were right. They didn't last. Sometimes bad things take the place where good things go. But the worst thing, the worst thing of all, was he still loved Jayce. And he knew, despite everything, Jayce still loved him. But if there was one thing Viktor had learned in a decade of marriage, it was that sometimes love just wasn't enough. And it wasn't enough anymore.
In the wake of a messy divorce, Viktor and Jayce try to tackle the impossible task of co-parenting with the ex you'd rather never see again. And, eventually, learn to heal and find their way back to each other.
