But he was not the only one to have them. The difference is that Rhaenyra understood the Dreams for the warnings they were.
As King Viserys debated with himself to name Aegon II, the first son with his second wife, as his heir, he believed that he was saving his daughter. As Rhaenyra watched, she knew it was the realm that would pay the price.

Summary
I was gutted by season 8 of Game of Thrones. I decided to write a fanfic about it, imagining if Daenerys had a vision about all that was to come. I chose her because I feel like, as badly wrecked as other characters were in S8, she really got it the worst and had the most losses. And she had such a dream before and Daenys Targaryen dreamed of the Doom of Valyria. This is mostly her POV, a few others. I also added things here and there because I would have liked to see the scenes (like why did Arya and Daenerys not have one conversation? I was annoyed by that and so they will meet in this fic). Mostly show canon unless additional info or characters are needed. Starts at the beginning of S7, some scenes start out like the ones in the show but then change, because if Dany knows from her dream that some act will bring disaster she’ll do something else. Feedback is deeply appreciated and more than welcome. Please be as gentle as you can! If you hate Daenerys you will not like this story. But I’m trying to be gentle with all the characters. Well, most of them. Trying to ascribe good motives as much as possible. I do not own these characters or story. Everything here belongs to George R.R. Martin, D.B. Weiss, David Benioff, HBO.

One who dreamed of a good world was dead, a woman who slaughtered a city, who chose fear over love.For ten years Westeros has enjoyed peace. Winners of the game thought nothing can ever change that.
Not even ignoring the will of two peoples in the south, nor even taking land of one people in the north. Winners were wrong.
As they were wrong about certain family being gone.Winners of the game of thrones forgot the words of wisdom: "Nothing lasts."
Update January 2021. - after watching the last season of "Vikings" - D&D should learn from it how to wrap up the character storylines, do bittersweet ending and all that without turning it into a dumpster fire. "Vikings" have also declined in last few seasons, but still managed to stay away from pointless shock value scenes and subversion of expectations.

So I usually prefer my Jonerys stories to give them both lots of love.
Even tho Season 8 was...you know.
But I stumbled onto that deleted scene where that guy spits when he sees Dany, and Jon just stands there smiling idiotically. I became unreasonably pissed off and now I’m blowing off my anger by writing a story about what would have happened if Dany decided F this I’m out and left the North.
As you will no doubt notice, I am NOT. A. WRITER.
So I apologize if you encounter bad spelling, grammar, or just bad writing. There are thousands of writers on here who know what they’re doing.
Alas I am not one of them but I’m too freaking mad not to write something.

Summary
Now that the Starks are independent, the Iron islands and the Dornish demand independence as well, Bran doesn’t want to give it to them. War is on the verge. Dothraki without a Khaleesi to tame them are devouring any city they come across, while the Unsullied are waging their own war against the slavers. Drogon commits massacres all over.
The wildlings want to live on the land they were promised by Jon and Stannis, they refuse to bow to Sansa and attack northern villages to take them for themselves, the northmen demand their new queen to do something all the while whispering amongst themselves that they wished Jon to rule. Sansa finds herself in over her head.
New alliances form in hopes of revenge. The slavers are back In Yunkai and Astapor since the Dragon Queen isn’t there anymore, they focus all of their forces on Meereen, where the Second Sons are still acting in the name of their Queen. The world is in chaos… Meanwhile a red comet soars through the skies above Volantis.
