Or, Kinger was the key to escaping the Circus all along, but nobody knew that, least of all him, until they all got stuck in a very dark room for a very long time on an adventure. Now they have to remember how to be humans again.

Summary
“She didn’t like to admit it, but she was terrified. Like everyone else, she dreamed of mushroom clouds and the end of everything. She dreamed of the world ending.”
It’s the middle of the 1960s during the Cold War, and 25 year old Christina Kamalov (Pomni) is an accountant for a law firm. When the bomb sirens go off, she is forced into an underground bunker with hundreds of other people, including her annoying neighbor, Jack (Jax), the constantly kind Agnes (Ragatha), sarcastic Daisy (Zooble), shy Ginger (Gangle), and a slightly crazy computer programmer, Leroy (Kinger). Oh, and they’re all being watched by a potentially world ending AI with a bit of a misguided savior complex.

“Police hasn’t really cracked the entire thing down but… It appears you and seventeen other people were trapped into some sort of… Human farm. But not for organs or anything. More like… Data. I don’t know” the nurse shook her head with puzzlement “I’m sorry. I think you will have to wait for the police to tell you the full thing once the investigation is concluded”
“S’anyone else awake?” they wondered
“Aside from you? Four others” the nurse nodded “Most people had a sort of… deactivated state? I think that’s how the engineers called it. Except for six of you”
“Wait… What do you mean? How were our states activated but only five of us are awake?” they asked as the panic began to settle in their stomack once again.
“One of the girls had had a suicide attempt a few years ago. It seems the people of C&A… the farm. It seems they managed to save her and keep her in stasis but she’s still in a coma” the nurse explained “I remember reading of her attempt in the papers back in the day… Poor thing jumped in front of a moving truck”
Oh no.
(Or Zooble wakes up in a hospital after they all escape the Digital Circus, remembering their name and with the news their girl isn't awake yet)
