Chrissy slumps. She never thought about that. About how Eddie felt.
“I’m sorry…”
He sighs and sits back on the couch, head buried in his face. She wraps her arm around his waist and rests her chin on his shoulder.
“You’re not useless, though.”
He huffs.
“And it’s not about the song. It’s about music unlocking the good memories.”
She presses a kiss through his hair.
“You are my good memories, Eddie.”-------------

Gently she relaxed her hands, relaxed her frame. Her palms moved from his back to his sides, and she heard him draw in a deep breath.
“You okay?” he whispered into her crown. She nodded, stepping back. His hands slid away slowly, lingering, before falling to his sides. He was biting the inside of his cheek and those eyes, those big brown orbs, were searching her.
Giving me the Eddie/Chrissy the Duffers took away.
