Summary
Its true that the crows will do anything to overcome the threat of the Others. Even going so far as opening their ranks to slightly less dangerous enemies. The crows and the wildlings have been battling since before the oldest of songs. Yet Jon doesn't choose sides. The only battle that matters is for the living. Though one new recruit is proving to be a challenge he isn't sure he can rise to. Can he ready his men and protect the North from all threats? More specifically, can he accomplish the impossible without losing himself in those blue eyes?

Another ring, and his temper snaps as he smashes the green button. “For fucks sake, what?”
“Jon, what the fuck?”
“Yes Edd, WHAT the fuck?”
“Have you even looked at your phone this morning?”
“Fuck no, its not even morning Edd. What kind of manager calls me before 11AM?”
“Are you married?”
No. Of course not. But he sneaks a glance down at his left hand, thinking very hard about what actually went down at the bar last night. Nah. He’d remember something like that.
“No Edd, what the hell?”
“Oh ok, so you don’t know a… a Tor-mund. A Tormund Giants-bane?”
Jon’s mouth goes dry. He could easily admit to never thinking about Tormund, but it would be a fucking lie.

They leaned into each other, foreheads pressed together gently as the water rushed over them. Gods he was gorgeous. Tormund had waited so long for this. There was always some insurmountable object in their path. But this, this was their time. And Tormund would have given anything to convince Jon to stay, to go north with him. The real north. Damn his stubborn crow and his unwavering sense of honor. But holding onto an angry thought while he breathed in the smaller man was impossible. Tormund cupped his jaw tenderly, brushing the dark curls from Jon’s face.
