The godless nation of Khaenri’ah is a common topic of gossip among the lands of The Seven. With the threat of an invasion looming, Celestia makes a desperate decision to send in a spy and rip the nation apart from the inside out.
And thus, seven year old Diluc Ragnvindr is abandoned in a foreign land with nothing but the clothes on his back. His only stroke of luck is a chance meeting with the beloved prince of Khaenri’ah: Kaeya Alberich.

“Stop!” It’s a little kid, and couldn't be older than eight. He’s dressed like an abyss mage, with a thick white warmth cloak swinging in the wind and his tiny hands holding it together in front of him.
He only has one eye, Pantalone notices as stops his spear a hair wide away from the lawchurls throat.The kid shouts something he had never heard before, and the beast answers back in the same gurgling tone. He didn’t know they had a language, he only thought it was beastly growls and laughs, yet this kids seem to be communicating with them all.
“Please stop hurting them, they were only tending our garden.” The kid speaks again, softly and with hard vowel pronunciation. As if he wasn’t used to the common tongue of Teyvat.
“Can you speak to them?” Pantalone asks. It’s quite obvious what the answer is, but he wants to confirm it.
