Summary
His phone buzzes again, and Lan Zhan picks it up this time. To his surprise, it's a message from the Blood Bank.
The Blood Bank was a way for him to make money faster, beyond his usual teaching job, to help his mother. He tried not to think too much about the fact that there were random faceless vampires feasting on his blood.
Frowning to himself, Lan Zhan clicks the message.
"You have been selected as a special provider for a very prestigious client! The Yiling Laozu has chosen you to be a part of his regular collaborators!"
Lan Zhan raises an eyebrow when he sees the name.
Very few vampires are known amongst humans, because they keep well hidden, but Yiling Laozu is one of the most well-known ones.

Lan Zhan's blood gets the attention of a vampire who is well known to the entire world for his creations: Yiling Laozu. At the same time, a beautiful man he meets on a rooftop tries flirting with him, his aura strangely alluring.

When the last notes of the finished track faded away, Toya spun around on his desk chair and leaned so far back that Mahiro almost worried he would tip over.
“That’s it, Mahiro,” Toya’s upside-down face told him. “This is going to take me to the top.” His hair fell down into small spikes, which Mahiro thought suited him quite well.
The position also bared Toya’s throat to him, and paired with the other’s words, he suddenly remembered the way his fingers had closed around it.

Wei Wuxian didn’t imagine acquiring a cat like this, nor did he imagine acquiring a fluffy white cat that, even covered in dirt and debris and clutched to a four-year-old’s chest like a teddy bear, manages to give the impression it’s judged his entire life and found it deeply wanting.
“Uh, A’Yuan,” he asks slowly, just in case this is a hallucination. “Who’s this?”
“A cat,” A’Yuan says proudly, leaning his round cheek against the top of the cat’s head, while the cat continues to look at Wei Wuxian like he’s wearing week-old clothes covered in food stains.
Or: Wei Wuxian gets a cat, and then a boyfriend, both of which are a surprise.
