Shikamaru slowly, lazily, blinked an eye open and looked at her. She could see the long grass, tickling his cheek. He ignored it, instead offering a crooked smile in her direction, accompanied by a teasing “I know you’re going to miss me."
She smacked him lightly on the arm, mostly out of reflex. She didn’t deny it, though.
