It stayed hidden behind the endless kindness and blinding smile that made up the Deku personality, perpetually locked away until someone decides to knock on the door. And it’s not like Denki is proposing that public persona is fake—he’s been on enough dates with Izuku to know it’s not, rather, he just thinks it’s not the whole truth.

    Of course, being the super totally awesome boyfriend he is, Denki knows just how to knock on that door. If you want to push his buttons, you have to be a brat.
