Hell, those consequences only existed in dumb sci-fi movies and comic books. But he can keep a handle on this and keep himself hidden. As long as he doesn't slip up when he answers that postcard his brother sent him from Oregon.

Summary
In which Stanley Pines encounters a Cafe in the middle of the rainy night. Desperate for a bit of warmth to protect him from the cold, he steps in. He didn't expect much, he just went in for a cup of coffee, but to his surprise the barista asked him a question that threw him out of place.
“Pines? Wouldn't you happen to be related to a 'Stanford Pines'?”
And that was the moment his luck changed.

Summary
Stan is near the end of his rope, struggling to cope with where his life has lead him. The only thing keeping him going is the memory of his brother, the only person who ever made him feel truly loved and safe, even if Stan's sure he wants nothing more to do with him.
Ford is doing fine. Really. He just has to keep busy, focus on work, anything to keep his mind off of the brother he left behind, the only one who ever understood him. He's desperate for a distraction, desperate enough to go looking for one, and he might not like what he finds.~
A Stancest AU comic that asks the question of what would have happened if Ford and Stan crossed paths sooner, and Ford has to face the harsh reality of what his brother has gone through.
