Dan really needs some money to pay his rent. Phil really needs blood to survive. It's a pretty good deal, and Dan gets a lot more than he bargained for.

Summary
To say Phil was glad to be hidden by their kitchen island from the waist down was truly an understatement.
They had filmed Sister Daniel's arrival at least three times but all attempt was ruined by Dan breaking character and laughing at Phil's reddened face.
He couldn't help it, was the thing, though. Sister Daniel allowed Dan to explore a whole new other side of himself and Phil was here for it. So if he was turned on by his boyfriend being able to freely express himself, then sue him. Sister Daniel was dominant, intimidating and confident and Phil was folding hard. He was folding and hard.

Summary
Dan has, over the years, cultivated a pretty strong stance on the matter of marriage. It's a social construct, it puts too many expectations on a relationship, it makes him feel trapped, it doesn't actually mean anything, and he does not need a flimsy paper to prove to somebody that he loves Phil. It's the epitome of everything he hates in society.
Oh, and this weird pile of feelings in the back of his brain that has been rapidly growing in size as of recent? Don't even worry about it.
or
5 times Dan repressed any and all feelings marriage-related, and 1 time he didn't.

The bone-shattering punches thrown by the neighborhood bullies on the playground, or by his own father at home, drunk and wild. His mother, weak and clutching at him as she grew more incoherent with the drugs as the cancer ate away at her insides. Touch was something he shied away from, something he told himself he just didn't want.
Except...he did. He just didn't know how.
