(FNAF MOVIE SPOILERS AHEAD.)
Manipulation isn't always a conscious response, it can be excused through an explanation, yet we fail to acknowledge the after effects of never helping to stabilise the victim in the situation. It took years for Henry to fully understand that he was also at fault for what happened within his establishment, to what became of his best friend. Henry can hardly see past the burning image of him in Michael's eyes, and all he can think to do is save who he can from the monster he helped to create.
Even if it kills them.

He rushed back after realising what he had said, when he swung the door open, the only thing that greeted him was the lingering air of regret.
‘No nightingales.’
His regrets were running rampant—the same repetitive statement waved through his mind in an attempt to muffle his other thoughts. He had an ocean-like way of thinking; disguising many complicated contrivances as one simple layer of dark blue. He was good at creating a distraction loud and pretty enough to forget the layers.
On the flipside of things; a man with fluffy white curls had only gone back to retrieve one more convincing factor—his journal. The nightingales were sure to chirp once more, he was sure of it.
‘I stand corrected, this will last forever.’
