"And what is that?" he murmurs, leaning closer, close enough for Zhongli to smell the wintermint on his clothes and see every fleck of gold in his red hair. His hand is inches away from Zhongli's.
He returns the smile, polite and perfunctory. "You're a mercenary. An assassin, if you prefer."
In a version of Teyvat where the commoners don't know of monsters or magic, a few specialized funeral parlours are tasked with covering up monster-related deaths to keep the reality of the world secret. Not all adventurers are happy with this, but a little persuasion and a lot of Mora can go a long way.Though Zhongli might be lacking in Mora, he isn't lacking in persuasion, and he is the Wangsheng Funeral Parlour's number one choice for winning over any skeptics. In what seems to be an ordinary day at work onboarding new adventurers, a certain Snezhnayan redhead takes an unusual interest in him.
