Summary

Jonathan has been living out his dreams of studying at NYU, keeping up with his photography and filmography, excelling in his studies and even recently finding a new girlfriend.
Nancy has been semi-successful in her job at a local newspaper in Boston after dropping out of Emerson, yet she can't help but feel empty living there. She doesn't have many friends since dropping out, and everyone at her work is older than her.

The last time Jonathan Byers saw Nancy Wheeler was a month ago when they reunited with Robin and Steve at Robin's uncle's house for their catch-up reunion of the month. Nancy hadn't mentioned anything about working at The New Yorker. Because if Nancy had said anything , Jonathan, without a doubt, would have remembered.
So, seeing Nancy Wheeler with a notebook and a pen waiting for him to say something in that hotel room wasn't what Jonathan was expecting.

Summary
They had already bunked together in the same house for a year, and so it was perfectly natural. They reclaimed the old Byers house from the dead military, finding furniture to mix and match for their living space.
Nancy with Jonathan. Mike with Will. Joyce in her own bedroom.
Nancy, only wanting to fold some laundry in peace, finds a somewhat unwelcome surprise.
