Sometimes - but only sometimes - Yin Yu wondered if he did the right thing by bringing Quan Yizhen to the sect. With how feisty he used to be as a kid, surely he would've survived somehow on the streets.
Perhaps, Yin Yu would’ve advanced much further if he wasn’t obligated to stick around for so long; Heavens, he might’ve even ascended. He would’ve developed a following and led a life in opulent glory.
He wouldn’t be sitting here pondering over ‘what ifs’ if things hadn’t developed the way they had. He wouldn’t have had a reason to sit here and whirl his thoughts on a spindle. He wouldn’t have had anything to complain about.
I mean, have you heard a single tale in which Gods bemoan their godhood?
