Summary
In the aftermath of Amor Fati, Mulder and Scully seem to be on the verge of something new. Scully decides to spend a quiet weekend at home in her own company, in part to think over their changing relationship. Scully’s plans for time to herself are torpedoed by Mulder calling her throughout the weekend.
“Ma’am, I’ve had reports that an unlicensed plumber has been working in your apartment. Do you require any medical assistance?
He affects a southern twang, one that reminds her of an officer they’d met in Clover County, Texas, over the summer.
“Are you offering unlicensed medical assistance Mulder? I’ve finished the plumbing. Successfully, mind you. Now I’m baking.”

Summary
Mulder joins Scully for a family dinner at Maggie's house.
"It’s early December and there is snow on the roads as they begin their drive out to Baltimore, late on a Sunday afternoon. Scully drives; she's more confident than he is in the snow. He’s not sure she’s a better driver in bad conditions than he is, but she is more confident. She seems to relish checking the tread on her tires, continually assessing her traction. He likes having the chance to watch her a little, while she drives and they talk. She’s wearing a soft, dark-grey button up sweater, and the pearl earrings she often seems to wear to dinner at her mother’s house."

Summary
Late season 6, Scully comes to a sudden realization about Mulder's feelings for her while in the middle of a Bureau policy meeting. Part of my 'The Work of an Instant' series.
"It will never get old. Scully will never get over this: the feeling of walking down the hall together, of being in sync with one another, of walking into the fire together. Even when the fire is utterly mundane, an internal policy review meeting on the second floor of the Hoover Building. She listens to the click of their shoes on the floor and feels Mulder’s hand on her lower back as they approach the doors at the back of the auditorium and feels—as she often does beside him—that she is exactly where she is meant to be."

Summary
Mulder and Scully take part in an undercover operation, and Mulder learns something about Scully's feelings for him. Takes place in season 6, shortly after The Unnatural.
"He wonders if she’ll find that freeing, knowing that he won't be listening, and no one they know will be listening. In general, they save the truest things for each other. *We neither of us perform to strangers.* But today it might be helpful to perform to an audience of strangers who will soon forget her words."

Summary
A Christmas story that begins with Mulder & Scully exchanging gifts at the end of 'How the Ghosts Stole Christmas', and continues through to the events of Tithonus.
"Scully hadn’t been sure whether to come here tonight. She hadn’t been sure whether she’d give him the gift she’d purchased, weeks ago. She never knows how to pick the level of intimacy, the level of care and the expense, when she buys him gifts. His gifts to her pitch and yaw with a speed and intensity that is entirely unpredictable. One Valentine’s day early in their partnership, he left a dozen red roses and a large box of fancy chocolates on her desk, and brushed off her thanks with a dismissive “Got ‘em at Lost and Found.” There was the Apollo 11 keychain, when she was ill. He’d written it off as just a “cool keychain,” but she’d believed in the meaning she’d found in it, and treasured it ever since as if it were sentimental jewelry."

Summary
Scully and Mulder attend a game night at the Gunmen’s lair, and change is in the air. Takes place sometime in season 7.
“She sips at her drink. She feels the burn of the vodka soda down her throat; she feels the pull of recklessness. It’s not the drink or the impulse alone that makes her swing; she’s felt this way plenty of times before, seen it in herself, reeled herself back in. The dance is familiar: a call, and an inevitable response; impulse and restraint the perfect twins. She’s not someone who doesn’t feel the pull of temptation, she’s just exceedingly good at resisting it. But tonight, somehow, her reserve and her discretion, which at times have felt painfully, almost punitively inexhaustible—even to her—have run out.
Maybe this is the moment that changes everything.”

Summary
This is an alternate ending and extension of the story 'Fierce Midsummer All Ablaze' (which is now 'Part 1' of this series).
In 'Fierce Midsummer', Mulder & Scully develop an agreement to attend events as each other’s ‘plus one’ over the years. In this story, 'Certain Obscure Things', Scully agrees to go as Mulder’s guest on a trip to Oxford, to visit his old friend and mentor John.
It can be read as a standalone story, but it's probably more fun to read after reading 'Fierce Midsummer'.
"As the plane reaches cruising altitude above the Eastern Seaboard, Scully takes a sip of her champagne, and looks at Mulder, fast asleep in the seat next to her. For once—in the unusual comfort of business class—he is able to sleep, and she is awake. 'Four days away together, no work,' she thinks."

The final scene of Triangle, told five ways.
"It is at this moment, the moment of having felt the truth and the succor of her belief in him, that he realizes he is in love with her. He has felt every constituent part of this feeling before, the friendship, the attraction, the excitement, the certainty, the desperation, the almost irresistible urge to kiss her, but never all at once. It coalesces in a sharp and sudden realization, the obviousness of which is almost insulting to him, in a certain light. How has he never managed to articulate it to himself in this way? How has he resisted this so long?"

Summary
In One Breath, we find out that Mulder was the witness to Scully's living will. It must have been early in their partnership when this happened. This story imagines the circumstances of Scully asking him to be a witness.
"Scully was a little like that; she wasn’t one flowing piece of prose he could pick up and read. He had to study her for years, learning her commitments and ways bit by bit. Over time, he could see how one of them related to another, and slowly, slowly, her logic and her character revealed themselves to him. It would be a mistake to read her simply, to take the broad brushstrokes of her biography - Catholic, Captain’s daughter, doctor, sister - and presume to understand the things of which she was capable, to understand the things she wanted."

“Mulder pauses a beat and then resumes, as if the formalities, the celebrations and the other guests are all brief if not unwelcome interruptions to an ongoing, years-long conversation. He doesn't ask her to dance, he doesn't gaze at her meaningfully, and he doesn't push her knowingly towards the bouquet toss. Instead, they lean, shoulder to shoulder, against the bar, while he asks for her views on some anatomical issues pertaining to lycanthropy.”

Summary
This is my take on Mulder and Scully's interactions post-Redux. There's angst, UST, Skinner and a scene with a baseball, though no bat, sadly.
"At some point he gave her his key, they became one another's emergency contacts, and it became acceptable to call past any version of a polite cut-off time. She knows the error of this easy slide, and its forking problems, the way it gives her a sense of entitlement, and the disinterested and in-denial possessiveness it creates in him. She remembers thinking of talking about this to a friend - if she still had friends with whom she could discuss such things - and of saying how hard this all is. But she knows the lie in that; this is the easiest thing; this is the only thing that she knows how to do, that she can do."
