Summary
Pantalone doesn’t dislike people touching him, he loathes it. Every time his hand brushes against Dottore’s when he gives him a report, he has to fight a wave of disgust. People are disgusting and their hands even more so. There’s a reason he’s always wearing gloves and it has very little to do with the cold of Zapolyarny Palace.
That said, he is first and foremost a businessman, which means he has to compromise. Sometimes, when it’s a particularly important transaction, he’ll shake a hand. No one has to know he throws his pair of gloves in the trash right after the deal is complete.
It’s a luxury, to allow himself to stay away from people’s dirty hands, to avoid awkward embraces. It’s even more of a luxury to be able to stay off the battlefield, though when he needs to, he’s quite the decent swordsman. And well, what he cannot accomplish with his blade, his Delusion will take care of.
He doesn’t let people touch him. There is no exception to that rule.
That is, until a fateful day when a blue-haired woman throws him on the ground.

Summary
After Signora's death, Pantalone makes a rather unconventional suggestion to Pierro. After all, this is the perfect occasion to remove a thorn from the Fatui's side while solving the problem of the Eighth's empty spot. The other Harbingers don't need to know that the candidate happens to be his enemy-with-benefits.
He thinks it's an excellent plan.
However, after Yelan becomes friends with the two Harbingers who despise him the most, makes him look like a fool in three consecutive meetings, and drops someone's severed head on his three billion Mora carpet, he begins to reconsider the so-called "genius" of his idea.
