Genya knows he should just tell the truth. He got frustrated, and thought that strong words of persuasion would revive his bike from the dead. Non-judgemental as he is, Tanjiro would probably just laugh it off and walk home with a smile on his face.
“I got into a fight,” Genya lies, instead.

Because that’s the thing about Logan—he’s just so nice. He’d never tell Lando straight up that he wants to leave. He’ll hang around and laugh at Lando’s jokes and indulge Lando’s millions of questions about Florida and let Lando beat him at MarioKart, and the whole time, Lando will fall deeper in love with him and Logan’s just thinking of when he can leave.
