    Ignoring the sharp pain of sorrow in his chest, Minghao smiles, “A lot, Chan-ah.”

    He almost leaves it at that. He wants to leave it at that. Because if he keeps speaking he knows he’ll become filled with unfulfilled greed.

    But then, Chan looks at him- a look that makes Minghao feel worse because it makes him feel human- and suddenly he’s forced to complete his answer.
