“It’s not just that, though,” Tim cut him off and ignored the annoyed glare in response. “The way he holds you, arms around your waist with his face in your hair? That’s not brotherly to me, D. He holds you like a lover. And don’t get me started with all of the ‘bonding sessions’ where you’re always practically in his lap.”
The more Tim went on, the more the older vigilante began to hesitate. Damian began re-evaluating the time he’d spent together with Jason, where they’d solve cases late into the night in the cave, movie nights at his Bludhaven apartment where they’d fall asleep in each other’s arms, or even those days where Jason would deliberately show up to Damian’s animal shelter to give a helping hand before they hang out in town after work was done. All of those felt…intimate. Special. As if they weren’t just brothers. As if it was something more—
