“Really?” Soap’s stool scraped across the floor as he tugged it closer. Far too close for two grown, military sculpted men to be to each other but Soap had had at least two tequila shots even before he’d started on his next drinks, so it felt like nothing at all to be able to smell that Ghost was clean. No blood. No dirt. Clean, washed skin underneath his clothes and mask, “I mean, that wee glance you gave us of your mug back before the raid wasn’t much to go on.”
“Thought you might have gone rifling through my file.”

Or: Ghost and Soap are the last ones left in the bar after the final MW2 mission, knees touching, and Soap can't help himself. Can't stop the little, needling shit that lives in the back of his head and cajoles him into pushing himself into Ghost's vision. 'Just a snog, sir. We don't have to tell.' The Connor from CyberLife Tower has been accepted as a member of the Detroit Police Department. No longer a threat to public safety, he's now considered one of the best additions to Detroit's rapidfire change in light of Markus's revolution-then-disappearance. Hank has seen double enough times not to believe the illusion.
The Dollmaker is still on the loose: a criminal that switches androids' body parts and dumps them around the city, considered a lesser issue for humans and a walking nightmare for androids. It's only when members of the precinct start turning up dead that CyberLife's newest prototype gets involved.
The answer is somewhere between the lines...but it's him who remains the biggest obstacle.

“Therapy android…?” Hank said, squinting into the morning light coming in from his front door, half awake and wearing only boxers, an old tee, a ratty bathrobe, and some chewed up slippers. “I didn't order no goddamn therapy android.”
“I was ordered by your department, Lieutenant,” Connor, the android, replied easily, “I was told that Captain Fowler had informed you of this previously.”
Hank grunted in reply, sipping from his coffee as he thought back. He was on day five of his forced sabbatical and some details had all blurred together. “Wait, what kind of therapy? Are you here to teach me some new-fangled yoga or somethin’?”
“I am a prototype Alpha Android, sir, programmed in the specialized handling and care of postmenopausal and stress-suffering omegas-”
The door was slammed in his face, leaving nothing but the peaceful silence of the morning broken up by a few song birds. Connor blinked for a moment, his routine interrupted, before knocking again.

Soap’s smile falls. It’s no secret that he doesn’t get along with the military dogs on base. As a matter of fact, he’s had a particular distaste for canines ever since an unfortunate incident in his youth, the scar on his chin burning at the reminder. And anyway, it’s downright insulting to be compared to a bloody dog.
“Och, LT, don’t even joke.” He groans, “You know I can’t stand those mutts.”
Ghost laughs, reaching out to pat the top of Soap’s head, “You’re cuter than them when you pout like that, too."
