    Peter Parker was a moron. Well, he felt like one anyway. Dying at fifteen did tend to make a boy feel such a way. Waking up mysteriously in a Lazarus Pit, only to be caught in the web of a mad clown with flaming green hair... well, it hardly spoke well for the boy. Now in a city he did not know, with his memories scattered by green fog and rage, the once-hero of New York City finds himself learning that not every dimension is entirely fair on kind boys.

     

    AKA my third spider-man in Gotham fic. Features Peter Parker as the Joker's sidekick, Red Hood trying to be a good dad, a League of Assassins hunting a lost clone, and a little kissing between two scarred and bloodied boys. hope u enjoy!

You should never have been successfully able to use the Infinity Stones yet here we are. You used all six of the infinity stones and then died almost immediately afterwards. By doing this you supercharged your soul, leaving you in a rather strange state of limbo. You are unable to pass on without letting out the energy that was absorbed into your soul, yet you can't do that unless you are living. We can't bring you back to life in this universe for the very balance of the world would be at risk, yet we can't leave you as you are for you being here at all is a risk regardless. Either way, you have to go,” Stephen finished with a sigh. He looked so tired, as though the very weight of the world held him down.

    “So what’s gonna happen here doc? You say bibbity bobbity boo and I disappear?” a self-deprecating smile sat upon his lips. Stephen rolled his eyes.

    “I hope you realize that that’s not how magic works? Besides if you had listened more closely to my wording then you would have realized I said this universe,” Tony blinked in surprise as Stephen smiled smugly.

    Dr.strange isn't allowed to say what he saw when he looked into the future. If he did, the one chance they had at winning would disappear. He had to put duty over emotions, in this situation more than anything. But if there was anything that would make him take a second and think, make him wish there was just one more possibility, it was seeing what Peter has to go through in order to save their entire universe.

    OR- Peter gets sent to another universe thinking he caused all his friends and family to disappear, only to gain an overwhelming amount of strength and realize he could crush Thanos's skull with his bare hands.

    “Yeah well, I am Spider-Man. And you won’t take another person I love away from me,” Peter said firmly.

    Just before the battle with Thanos, Dr Strange pulls together enough power to send one person to a different dimension. A chance for that person to be safe from the destruction that Thanos was about to wrought on Earth. The group about to fight agreed that Peter Parker, for sheer virtual of being the only person not an adult there, would get the dubious honor.

    Which is how Peter finds himself waking up in Gotham City, a place even crueler and darker than New York City. Peter has to try to find a way to fit into this new universe at just sixteen years old.

    "I am still just your butler, and I cannot simply tell you that you will be adopting a new son. But I truly am not getting younger. You have seven children now, even if you haven’t adopted all of them legally. There is much more work than when it was just you and I. There is perhaps too much work for just myself, and then providence dropped a starving young man into my pathway for me to mold into a new generation of caretaker,” Alfred tried to explain himself.

    Alfred finds himself doing the adopting instead of Bruce, this time of a spider. Can Spider-Man become a first rate butler and keep his secret identity?
