Summary
It was unexplainable really, Chris' ability to turn into a wolf. To swap out his skin for that of another.
To transform into a creature far different than what the movies say he should be like.
That instead of becoming an uncontrollable beast. A monster driven into a wild frenzy under the light of the full moon until he was sick with bloodlust and hysteria, overcome with mania and overwhelmed by instinct. He was able to control the change. Was able to slip between one form and another whenever he wanted to.
Well, unless he got himself injured.
And given his luck? That exactly what he did. And in the presence of Leon Kennedy no less.

Summary
With shaky, frozen fingers, Leon tried to pat himself down for a weapon, for anything he could use. He’d lost his knife – it was embedded into the B.O.W.s skull still, probably – and had lost his grip on his firearm during his tumble down. There were grenades, but he didn’t trust himself to throw them far enough so that he wouldn’t blow himself up together with the threat. Maybe a kamikaze stunt would be in order, if it came that far, but for now he still held onto the lingering hope that he might survive, somehow.
The creature stalked closer, and Leon gripped the grenade hard. He rolled over to his side, resisting the urge to cry out as it felt like his leg was being ripped off with the movement. He focused on breathing: one, two, three slow breaths.
A wolf.

Turns out it’s a full-blown, multi-chaptered emotional hurt/comfort angst story in which the whumper simply refuses to die. And each time I mark this shit as completed my brain conjures up more plot. Who am I kidding?
