He was beautiful in a way that didn't make sense, posed on a bed of roses that appeared absurd, almost jarring in their softness when paired with the heavy iron shackles on his wrists, his ankles. His clothes were carefully arranged to expose pale slivers of skin, inky black hair tousled, face cleaned just enough to hide the worst of whatever had come before but not all of it.
The bruises remained, one blooming beneath his eye, another like a dark smear at his collarbone.

Hao paused for a moment, as if the words were a lifeline, while hanbin’s hands gently cupped his face.
Hao’s hands slowly moved to rest on Hanbin’s waist, weakly clutching his clothes in trembling fists.
Then, as silence settled between them, Hao whispered, struggling to catch his breath. His tears burned his cheeks, his eyes, and even Hanbin’s hands.
“I want you to come with me to England… I want you to be the one to take me back there..no one else. Just you”
