Summary
Clay’s life begins to unravel when he wakes up one morning to a text from his ex-girlfriend and she is flung back into his life with a holiday to Bali. Armoured with a fake relationship and the support of his best friend, he initially believes he can handle the reunion. But as the tropical nights march on, and the feelings of his past create complications, Clay is forced to reconcile with all that he’s buried. It scared him—seeing Dream like this scared him. He was never supposed to be this… vulnerable.
The dagger in his hands was much heavier now. It would take one swing to finish Dream off. In the state he was in, he’d never be able to deflect it.
And yet, George was transfixed in place.
“Sorry,” Dream murmured, and it was so quiet George had to step forward a bit to hear. “I just didn’t… know where else to go.”
His last words were nothing more than a breath, and with them, his legs buckled under him, letting his body fall.
Or, Dream gets injured and shows up at George's doorstep. This wasn't in the hunters' manual.

Bruh, this fic is so good!! At the time I'm bookmarking it, the author's only on chpt 2, but I'm already so excited at where this is going. Minecraft irl fics don't usually hit the spot, but this one is written so perfectly that it adds to the conflict and provides a perfect backdrop to a rlly fanatic story. Enemies to lovers baby, I just can't get enough. Wonderfully written, fantastic characterisation with a generous amount of sexual tension, well worth the read!

Ah, fluff will just forever fuel me. Fr this fic is just so damn sweet and I'm in loveee. The characters are just so delightfully earnest, you rlly feel for Dream during the first part, goddamn unrequited love just HITS. Not a word is wasted, this shit is just so damn *frictionless*, yet every piece of description, every thought is written out perfectly.
Also, hello???? Absolutely BANGER trope that will never got old. My soul ACHES for a road trip, I'm in love with landscapes I've never even seen and that's just the power of ao3 user meridies.
It's a little ooc, but that shit works within the frame of the story and is still a highly enjoyable read. So go read it. Gowaannn -

George has his left hand wrapped around Clay’s throat. His fingers are digging into the muscle of his neck while his palm pushes against the younger man’s windpipe. The metal of George’s wedding band is cold against Clay’s flushed and sensitive skin. George is only applying a moderate amount of pressure, for now. Just enough so that when Clay pants, the air leaves him with a rattle.

Summary
Neither of them had any idea how they'd ended up like this. Maybe it was the sunset, or the perfect privacy of Dream's apartment, or maybe just that neither of them had been touched much since quarantine started. Regardless, once it happened, it seemed strangely inevitable.
George gasped at the pressure as Dream pressed into him. It was slow, but firm, and Dream's weight on him and inside him made him ache.

Maybe everything would burn and he knows he wouldn’t mind dancing in the flames with the other. He’s greedy, so greedy. The knight wants and wants more than he should, more than he knows is promised in a life such as his. But he can’t stop himself from wanting to dance with the man beside him, can’t stop himself from twisting each atom in his body as a shield for his prince. He wants to run his thumb along the side of a royal jaw, rub soft on bottom lips which will be blue and purple once he’s done with them.But he doesn’t.

Oh. My. God. Royalty au HAS ME ISTG o(*￣▽￣*)ブ The writing in this fic is simply beautiful, every paragraph is so cohesive with these extended metaphors that just run through the whole thing. And then the use of a poem to tie the whole thing together??? Yes????? I could talk abt this way more, but essentially a sophisticated masterpiece of royalty based pining which I would HIGHLY recommend!
