Neptune pressed the back of his hand to his eyes, trying to stifle the quiet sob that followed next- but it came anyway. A shaky, breathy gasp followed, causing him the hand in his hair to move back to his mouth again. He tried to breathe through it, tried to stop, stop before his moons actually wake- but his stupid brain refused to listen, as always.
Quiet tears stained his sleeves, but at least he made no sound. At least, Neptune thought, he did that right.
Until... a tiny, impossibly small, delicate body pressed itself against the back of his neck.
And Neptune froze.
Or
After the Sun ordered everyone to remain in their true orbits and stay there, Neptune isn't doing so well.

Without thinking—because he never does and whenever something was wrong he needed to have physical contact with the other person in order to heal them properly and even if there was nothing wrong with Jupiter (which there wasn’t, there was something definitely wrong) then a hug wouldn’t hurt and maybe could help whatever was going on—he slowed down just enough that he didn’t fully tackle Jupiter over, throwing his arms around the sweater hanging off of his husband’s fragile form—

Is this a consequence of being born a Vessel? Or have they grown sick due to something? She has never seen Hollow get sick… Unless it was by the infection…
Hopefully, it's nothing too bad—they all have had their unfair share of misfortunes already.
So, she does everything she can.----
TL;DR: Ghost is molting, Hornet and Quirrel have no idea what they're doing, and chaos ensues.
