    Buck let out a laugh, choked, broken, perfect, and the tears finally spilled over.

    “Are you guys trying to kill me?” he asked, voice breaking, surrounded by laughter and tears from everyone watching.

    “Maybe,” Eddie said, stepping forward. His own voice wobbled, but he didn’t care. “I didn’t want to wait anymore. I love you. I love you for the way you love Chris. For the way you never stop trying to be better. For the way you let me in when it was hardest. I want this life with you. Every morning. Every night. I want forever with you.”

    Buck wiped at his face, breathless. “You’re serious?”

    “I’ve never been more serious.”

     

    OR: Buck has to face his parents for the first time in years and he leans on the one person he can always count on for support - Eddie. Navigating Buck's childhood trauma together, and a near death experience, brings them together.
