Rozanov poked a finger into Shane’s hip. Shane looked down, breath catching on a gasp at the sight of slowly fading handprint shaped red marks on his hips. Rozanov’s hands. Rozanov had held onto him so closely, fucked into him so hard, that he left marks on Shane’s skin.
Shane should have been pissed, but really, if he hadn’t just come three times, he’d be hard in an instant. Part of him wished Rozanov had held him even tighter, held him hard enough to bruise.

Summary
When Ilya gets a text from Shane in the hospital that just says “I’m so sorry,” he has no idea what to think. He expects the worst, except he doesn’t know what the worst possibly is.
Ten minutes later Ilya receives a text from a phone number without a contact. His heart seems to stop as he opens it.
“Ilya Rozanov,” it reads, and then on another line, “this is Yuna Hollander, Shane Hollander’s mother. I’m inviting you to dinner at Montoya's at 5:30pm tonight. It is private and quiet. Please be there.”
Shane accidentally spills the beans to his parents while high on pain meds and Ilya has to have dinner with them alone.

“I’m going to take my time with you tonight,” Ilya murmurs, pressing down against Hollander's tongue until he can feel the drool pooling. Hollander moans around the intrusion and blinks up at Ilya. His face is so fucking trusting, so full of desire, it makes Ilya's heart race. It’s fucking terrifying.
Unable to hold Hollander’s gaze, Ilya leans in to claim a hungry, biting kiss. Hollander arches forward and moans as his erection brushes against the bulge in Ilya’s shorts, then grabs Ilya’s shoulders to pull him closer. His hands are trembling. He’s trembling for Ilya, clinging to him like he needs him, like he wants him for real, and not just for sex.
But, Ilya reminds himself, this is just sex. That’s all it can be: just scaldingly hot, clandestine sex with a side order of mutually assured destruction. He takes Hollander’s face in both hands, drawing him in to deepen the kiss.
An unexpected snow day with Hollanov, set roughly during the winter in late 2014 or early 2015, when things still feel new between them but they're starting to become a little more familiar.
These two chapters tell the same story, first from Ilya's point of view and then from Shane's.
