~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Or: Nezu goes on a week long business trip and makes Aizawa the temporary principal while he's gone, giving him all the powers the principal of UA would normally have. Aizawa, prepared to use this power to it's full capacity, silently vows to make as many changes to UA as he can in a single week. He appoints Midoriya as his secretary for the time being and together they wreak havoc among the school, showing no mercy to any obstacle in their path (And maybe becoming father and son along the way). The rest of the staff and students are left to sit back and watch as everything they know goes up in flames.

Aizawa refuses to let his Problem Child travel back in time alone, even to fix a future where All for One was the victor. They go back with a plan that's more of a list, spend a year technically missing, and become rather effective vigilantes that fix some rather serious problems. And then it's time to be found, which seems to primarily result in lots of support and many hugs. Neither Izuku or Aizawa complain very much.

See, Izuku knew that if he ever actually managed to meet Todoroki Shouto, lead detective and all-around gift from the gods, things wouldn’t go the way they did in his fantasies.
Todoroki wouldn’t swoon over his chubby cheeks and hoist him up like that scene from Dirty Dancing, nor would he confess that he, too, had been watching Izuku from afar all these years.
More likely, Todoroki wouldn’t even glance at him until Izuku did something stupid, like spill his coffee, or accidentally trip into a mud puddle, or unknowingly insult his dead dog.
Invariably and unquestionably, something horribly embarrassing and awful would happen, so it was better to just… not let anything happen.

Prompto’s brain is just overcompensating to explain the weirdness that is his friend group and maybe-boyfriend.
