Fighting to subdue a villain once thought to be harmless, Sonic is caught in a spell that allows him to hear the thoughts of those around him. It hits him like a freight train when he finds out that his rival turned co-worker thinks about fucking him all day long. The pair needs to find Hijinx the monkey and arrest him before he causes anymore chaos– and before Shadow finds out that Sonic knows exactly what he's thinking when he's staring him down with that angry scowl on his face.

Summary
Sonic is an Omega, who is not quite like other Omega's. He's brash, loud, and competitive, which makes him undesirable to other Alphas. He's cool with that because he figures he's only good for flings and one-night stands anyway. Who cares.
Shadow is an older Alpha who has had two failed relationships, with one never making it to the altar. He's unmated and has a baggage of problems, but it's fine. He's got a company to run and money to fling about.
Both figured they weren't made for finding love or a relationship, until these hedgehogs came across one another at a bar one night. Something instantaneous clicks between them that neither wants to admit.
Good thing Alpha-Omega contracts exist.

Summary
Dave Strider, upon first inspection, is not that noteworthy. He reeks of alpha pheromones, he's handsome, he's cocky--he is the stereotype. Most people don't give him a second glance--betas and omegas included, because he's also got the faintest hint of omega pheromones on him, too--unless it's to admire how lovely he looks, regardless.
You never really have, either! He's just Dave--Dave who laughs so hard when your pranks fail that he's squirted apple juice out of his nose several times. Dave who acts like he doesn't give a fuck, but still trips all over himself to make sure his friends are happy. Dave who listens to really pompous, edgy music just so he has the knowledge to rip the songs apart when someone tries to defend them. Dave who collects dead things! Dave who makes you wish it weren't such a societal weirdness for two alphas to Bond--because if you're honest, you want Dave more than you could ever want anyone else, compatible hormones or no.
He's awesome, weird--but a totally normal guy underneath all that fake, layered on coolkid facade.
And apparently, he's not actually an alpha.
