Leia’s tendency towards greater risks that she always had when she was particularly energetic spilled over to them, as well. As if her capacity to see something different for the world than currently existed made her see something different for them, too. Pushing the boundaries between them, flirting a little more boldly. He could see everything she felt for him rise even closer to the surface, simmering in her dark eyes. Nothing had ever happened from it, though.
Until that mission. And once they crossed that line it just… didn’t stop.
