Summary
A few years post-war, the Ministry has passed the Preservation of Magic Act, which includes a new marriage law. Hermione's twenty-second birthday is weeks away, by which time she must be engaged to a pureblood or be compelled by law to accept the first eligible pureblood who requests her.
This relationship is a slow build. I'm 16 chapters in and there's still nothing even approaching sex. This is the part where I drop a platitude about patience and anticipation and whatnot.
Heavy on the dialogue, because I like dialogue.
