Battalion Chief Deluca-Bishop had planned to leave work just after midnight when Stations 19 and 23 were called to assist with a fire at the University of Washington - where her son Liam had just started his freshman year of college. The fire had started in the lounge of a women's dormitory across campus from Liam's on-campus housing. Maya hoped on the drive there she could find out from him what students were saying started the fire - but he wasn't answering his phone.
Dr. Carina Deluca-Bishop had been called in to Grey-Sloan late that evening for an emergency delivery.
