“I want you to look,” Din maintained, and closed his eyes. When he opened them, Cobb Vanth had a casual hand across his beard, studying him. But his gaze wasn’t casual at all. Din had to glance down from the intensity of it. His cheeks felt hot.
“Not bad,” the Marshal finally said, attempting to sound light-hearted. But his intensity hadn’t changed. “Quite the honour, Mando.”

“You planning of making a mess in my town?”
The answer is immediate, right to the point. “You planning on shooting me?”
Cobb decides to play it safe: he doesn’t remove his hand from the blaster. “Not if it can be avoided.”
The stranger’s lips break apart in more than one place when he produces another little grin, a sarcastic twitch, but somehow Cobb knows that the smile is not for him: it’s meant for the stranger himself. “Maybe it can’t,” the guy says after a beat. “Maybe it would be better that way.”
--Or: my take on what really happens after Din is forced to say goodbye to Grogu.

Summary
This is Part Four of a four-part series. Like the name implies, it's the whole story of Steve and Bucky, from beginning to the end of the line. This part begins when Steve and Bucky are in Wakanda after the events of The Winter Soldier. Bucky is in cryostasis, and Steve is trying his best to be patient while Shuri figures out how to free Bucky from the Hydra triggers. The story progresses through Infinity War and Endgame, but trust me when I tell you that Steve will NOT be making the inexplicable, asinine decision to leave the man he loves to go back in time. No. This time, the boys will get the happily ever after ending they deserve.

Summary
Bucky starts to believe in a vengeful god on May the twelfth, year of our Lord two thousand and fucking eighteen, because that’s the day he makes fun of Clint Barton for carrying around a dainty little packetful of tissues in his pocket and honking into them like a congested donkey every fifteen minutes. “Fucking polleb,” Clint swears, wiping at his watering eyes. “Fucking claritin. Fucking zyrtec. Fucking bastards, all of dem.”
“What’s happened to your pokeymen now?” Bucky asks distractedly, not looking away from where Natasha is very slowly setting the last Joker on her vast, exquisitely balanced house of cards.
“Dat’s not - dey’re not pokémon,” Clint says, aggrieved. “Dey’re drugs. And dey don’t work for me.”
