Summary
April 6th, 1996. Exactly ten years have passed since the worst day in Will Byers's life: The day Vecna was defeated. What should have been an occassion to celebrate turned into a nightmare. Because defeating Vecna resulted in the loss of Will's entire family.
Now Will is struggling to at least do one last thing right: To take care of a rebellious teenaged Holly Wheeler, who lost all her memories of her life previous to that horrible day. Summary
In the summer before sophomore year, Will Byers and his mom move to Hawkins, Indiana to live with Hopper and El.
During summer school, Will meets Mike Wheeler and the boys immediately become close friends and Will may even have a puppy crush.
When Mike asks Will if he is going to help him by pretending to be his boyfriend for one day so that he can show his ex-girlfriend that he has moved on, Will does not think much about it. Unfortunately, it turns out that Mike has failed to mention anything significant about this ex-girlfriend and she is actually Will's step-sister with whom he has begun to form a close bond. Will realises that their relationship will be irrevocably damaged if she finds out he has been unintentionally scheming against her. The only way he can actively salvage the situation is by pretending to be actually Mike's boyfriend for a bit longer. And what can even go wrong? -

Or, Eloise accidentally stumbles on her brother kissing another man, and this leads her down a path of confusion and realization. Benedict finds her on the swings afterwards, and they both learn new things about themselves and each other.
